Designing a job evaluation scheme is one thing – finding and training internal resources to actually evaluate all jobs is another! Innecto can help organizations with either approach – the decision will depend upon a number of factors such as amount of internal resources available, time constraints and your budget for job evaluation consultancy.
We can provide teams of consultants to evaluate your jobs, either working in small working groups or off-site ‘desktop’ style. This approach ensures consistency and minimum involvement for your managers. Alternatively, we run training sessions for a number of internal managers who will then undertake the work themselves, retaining this expertise within the organization and making the ongoing process of job evaluation more effective.
We are happy with either approach. Last year we trained a number of evaluators at the EHRC in job evaluation, and then chaired over 12 days of panels as that team worked through over 125 different jobs in the new organisation.
