Once you have designed and tested your job evaluation (or classification) framework, the challenge is to decide how to assess the bulk of your jobs against it so that results can be collated and a pay/grading structure created. Why you might need help

Designing a job evaluation scheme is one thing – finding and training internal resources to actually evaluate all jobs is another! Not all our clients have the time and resources to evaluate all their roles and often line managers (who may have received job evaluation training as part of the design stage) are busy with other priorities. Other clients prefer roles to be evaluated by an independent specialist to provide additional objectivity to the process. Innecto can help organizations with either approach, the decision will depend upon a number of factors such as amount of internal resources available, time constraints and budget available.

We can provide teams of consultants to evaluate your jobs, either working in small groups or off-site ‘desktop’ style. This approach ensures consistency and minimum involvement for your managers. It also ensures that evaluations are turned around quickly. Alternatively, we run training sessions for a number of internal managers who will then undertake the work themselves, retaining this expertise within the organization, increasing familiarisation with the scheme and making the ongoing process of job evaluation more effective. If you have concerns around visibility and consistency of approach, Innecto can also provide Consultants to ‘Chair’ job evaluation sessions of your own trained evaluators, giving further training as required, ensuring that the framework is applied consistently, and arbitrating if there are differences of opinion.
